David Stearn has reduced his practice to the use of pre fabricated materials that work in relation to one another. By composing these selected materials, function is addressed and re- defined, resulting in a range of sculptural experiments with a time based limitation. Stearn's interest is directed toward the idea of the event, the reduction of ambiguities and the use of time as a sculptural medium.

David Stearn graduated from Byam Shaw school of Art in 2008 and was selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008, showing in London and Liverpool as part of the Liverpool Biennial 2008.
