Liam Smale's work engages directly with the surrounding architectural exhibition space. Particular importance is placed on the referential application of materials and the responsive nature of the works. The dichotomy between interiors and exteriors provide a starting point in many of his investigations, with existing forms and themes often taking prominence within the final articulation.
